This website has been developed by Paul Newman New Homes to enable local residents of Linslade and Aylesbury Vale to learn more about our proposed exemplar development.

The West Linslade Urban Extension (West Linslade) is the proposed new development on the western edge of Leighton-Linslade located between the A4146 by-pass and Derwent Road. Paul Newman New Homes is proposing a new, mixed-use scheme to complement the existing town.  The proposed scheme will include:

  • 900 new high quality homes with a mix of units ranging from one bedroom apartments to family homes
  • 35 per cent affordable homes to be delivered in collaboration with a Registered Social Landlord
  • New employment space within a business park
  • A new Country Park
  • A new leisure centre and sports pitches
  • A new local centre with a mix of shops, small offices as well as health and community facilities
  • A new primary school
  • Improved landscaping
  • Recreational and play facilities
  • Bridleway and cycleway linkages crossing the site

The proposals have been updated following feedback received on the previous submission.  Updates to the proposals include:

  • New gateway entrance to Leighton-Linslade
  • New bridleway linkages crossing the site
  • Redesign of employment area
  • Leisure centre repositioned next to Country Park and further detail on the layout of Country Park
  • Changes to the scale and massing of proposed architecture
  • New phasing strategy for development

Paul Newman New Homes has submitted planning applications to Aylesbury Vale District Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.
